The purpose of the webinar was to enhance the general rabies awareness among medical and veterinary practitioners from rabies endemic Caribbean countries who are likely to be the first point of contact after rabies virus exposure. The forum aimed to appraise participants of the following:
- The rabies situation in the Caribbean
- Methods of rabies surveillance and diagnosis
- Public health measures to minimize human rabies virus exposures
- Human rabies and pre- and post- exposure prophylaxis
