Strategic Planning Workshop: Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, using a "ONE HEALTH" approach
12 members of the governance of CaribVET and a representative of the private sector took part to a participatory workshop to plan the future of animal and veterinary public health programmes in the region.
This workshop was held in Guyana and hosted by the Guyana Livestock Development Authorities (GLDA) in Georgetown on March 21st and 22nd, 2019. -
Special Session - Disaster Risk Reduction & Management, 13 June 2018
Following the devastating 2017 hurricane season, a special session of the 13th CaribVET Steering Committee was dedicated to the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management. The session was organized in Antigua and Barbuda, the first country affected by IRMA in Sept 2017. -

Antigua and Barbuda hosted the 13th CaribVET Steering Committee Meeting and the 18th Caricom Chief Veterinary Officers Meeting -
The 12th CaribVET Steering Committee meeting was held in conjunction with the 1st external evaluation of the network, and in parallel of a regional training workshop on Avian Influenza Risk Mapping and Risk-based surveillance organized by CIRAD and USDA-APHIS-IS. It preceeded the 17th Meeting of the CARICOM Chief Veterinary Officers (22-23 June) organized by CAHFSA and the CARICOM Secretariat.
