CaribVET Laboratory Working Group participated in a Meeting of the Caribbean Public Health Laboratory Network, July 2018

The Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) convened a Meeting of the Caribbean Public Health Laboratory Network (CariPHLN) Executive Committee (July 9) and Technical Advisory Group (10-11 July) to establish priorities and implementation plan.
The meeting was held in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.

It was attended by representatives of public health laboratories as well as from other laboratories - veterinary diagnostic laboratory (the representative of CaribVET), environmental laboratories, drug testing laboratories. 

Dr. Lana Gyan presented an overview of the CaribVET Laboratory, wuality Assurance and Diagnostic Working Group - mandate and objectives, as well as achievements (see doc attached).

The report of the Meeting is in preparation by CARPHA and will be circulated to the participants when finished.

The outputs of the meeting will be discussed by the Laboratory Working Group of CaribVET and the Coordination Unit for follow-up.
