Caribbean Poultry Association Morning Dispatch: Resounding Success for CPA Symposium

The Caribbean Poultry Association 4th Annual Technical Symposium held in Barbados 19 & 20 October 2017 was a resounding success.

The symposium which had as its theme  Poultry Production in the Hot Humid Tropics Especially in Small Island Developing States had presentations by speakers from South India, Brazil, USA, Haiti, FAO, United States Soybean Export Council and T&T. Presentations covered inter alia poultry housing, feeds, grains storage, performance evaluation indices, pest management, litter management. the management of heat stress, feed & water management, electrolyte balance off-grid production and myths & facts. There was a sell-out audience on both days.

The symposium received generous support from PoliNutri (Brazil),  CWT Farms (USA), QuadraGen (India), Venkys (India), FAO, USSEC, the Jamaica Broilers Group, Pinnacle Feeds, Chickmont Foods, the Barbados Agricultural Society, the Barbados Egg & Poultry Producers Association, Pharma-Vet (T&T) and the CPA.The CPA also held their 31 Board Meeting on 20 October 2019 in Barbados under the Chairmanship of David Reimer (Belize).
